Bhubaneswar: Indira Gandhi National Open University (Ignou) will not carry out the entrance examination to enter the Masters in Business Administration (MBA) this year.
Every candidate with the minimum feasibility can register for the course and receive a direct entrance ticket for the July 2021.
S K Tripathy, regional director, regional center Ignou Bhubaneswar, said the last date to enter the MBA course was September 30.
The All India Board for Technical Education (AICTE) has approved a new MBA program designed by Ignou.
Like other MBA programs, a two-year duration, he added.
He said the program was designed by famous management experts who maintain the latest industrial requirements and practices in mind.
This course is contemporary and designed for new graduates and labor, he added.
Ignou’s official source said they were conducting an entrance test to select candidates who qualified to enter the course.
But this year, they will not do this entrance test.
Even though they haven’t given any reason, the Covid situation might encourage them to take such a step.
Candidates who hold a bachelor’s degree, at least three years duration and with a minimum of 50% (45% in the case of candidates belonging to the category ordered) qualified to enter.
Candidates can visit the university website to get more information.
