No Immersion Procession: CP

Nagpur: City Police Chief (CP) Amitesh Kumar on Saturday issued strict instructions on organizing immersion procession on Sunday according to the Covid norm.
Kumar said four people could accompany Ganpati’s idol to an artificial pool.
He added that 4,000 police will be deployed in different places in the city.
About 65 sensitive points have been identified.
On the first day, 250 idols are expected to be immersed.
Kumar said there were around 450 mandap communities this time.
CP also told that ‘Pathak Damini’ specifically for women will be pressed into action.
