Agra: Aligarh Administration has made it mandatory for people to vaccinate with at least one dose of Covid-19 shots to receive subsidized rations based on the public distribution system scheme (PDS).
The decision was taken on Friday after a man tested a positive covid in the city the day before.
The authorities announced that families with even one person who was not vaccinated would be rejected by Ransum “until they get a managed dose”.
To help families access rations, officials have, arrange inoculation facilities in the 196 shops in urban areas.
“Shops will have inoculation facilities so people don’t have to go to the hospital,” said Rajesh Soni, district supply officers.
