Udhagamandalam: The Nilgiris district logged 510 fresh cases of Covid-19 on Sunday, even as 505 patients were discharged from various treatment centres.While the district’s Covid tally zoomed past the 22,000-mark to 22,369 on the day, 1,7915 of them have recovered so far.The district also reported two Covid deaths on the day.
With this, the toll has increased to 116.
Presently, there are 4,338 active Covid cases in the hill retreat.
At least 50% of them is in home quarantine, while the remaining 50% is admitted to the government hospitals and Covid care centres.
