The excise officers have captured a total of 200.5 minutes of spurious liquor through the entire month of May.
In contrast, just 55 minutes of hooch was captured in the last month.

Deputy excise commissioner, Thiruvananthapuram, N Ashok Kumar stated that bulk of captures made in the past month were following May 8 if the lockdown came in to effect.

The officer stated that although the section was maintaining strict vigil, they’ve fortified the vigil by establishing a unique drive throughout the state named Operation Lockdown below the directions of excise commissioner S Ananthakrishnan.
