Jaipur: Dr.
Bhimrao Ambedkar Law University has decided to oppose providing affiliates to new universities in the current academic session.
Deputy Chancellor Dev Swarup said that in a press release by the Indian Bar Board on June 16, strict instructions were issued that before giving affiliates to every new legal college, see why and what the need for.
“The Bar Board has truly prohibited the approval of new legal universities given the increasing number of institutions and quality declining.
We have many legal colleges in the state and will be better for us to focus on the quality of education provided to students,” said Dev Swarup , In 20-21, 72 legal universities were affiliated by Ambedkar Law University where 11,902 students received the entrance ticket 14,717 approved LLB seats.
However, 2,815 seats are still empty that can be seen as a cause of worries.
Similarly, 1,145 students receive a ticket to 1,640 llm chairs and PG Diploma and 495 seats remain free I.e.
In the session 20-21, more than 3,000 seats remained empty in this college.
In many Rajasthan legal colleges, there isn’t even enough students.
In such situations, Swarup said that what justification was to give affiliates to new legal colleges? “On the contrary, even among college work, universities that do not meet the specified criteria will not be affiliated.” He said that the university is committed to improving the quality of legal education in the state and will focus on existing universities.
