Chennai: The Government Government on Tuesday stated that there was no proposal to perpetuate any country in the country, including Tamil Nadu, under his consideration.
The State Union Minister for Nityanand Rai’s home business gave a reply to this effect on MPS T R Paarivendhar and S Ramalingam at Lok Sabha.
“At present there are no such proposals being considered,” Minister said.
Members have tried to find out whether the government has the proposal and the reasons, goals and motives for these bifurcation and if the government has received any request from any individual or organization to distinguish any country in the country, including Tamil Nadu.
Rai said the demands and representations were received from time to time from various individuals and organizations for the creation of new countries.
“The creation of new countries has a wide consequence and direct bearings in the federal government of our country,” Minister said.
The Government Government will continue the issue of forming new countries after considering all relevant factors.
Questions from MPS Tamil Nadu came after the recent controversy over BJP said the list of the union ministers who had just been appointed that former State President of BJP L Murugan came from “Kongu Nadu.” DMK and Congress accused BJP to make efforts to divide the country while Murugan clarified later that it was ‘clergy error.’
