Panaji: Because the rainfall was not the season during last weekend, the mango flowering process and cashew plants seemed to have been affected indicating the possibility of delayed fruit season for one of the plants.
“There will be some sudden impacts of rain and change the temperature of the flowering process.
Mangoes and cashew glass season may be slightly delayed to a certain extent this year, as a result,” said Agriculture Director, Nevil Alfonso.
He, however, stated that rainfall had not been sustainable to cause serious damage to plants.
“The impact will not be very important because it is only a short rain spell.
