No rainfall can delay mango, cashew production

Panaji: Because the rainfall was not the season during last weekend, the mango flowering process and cashew plants seemed to have been affected indicating the possibility of delayed fruit season for one of the plants.
“There will be some sudden impacts of rain and change the temperature of the flowering process.
Mangoes and cashew glass season may be slightly delayed to a certain extent this year, as a result,” said Agriculture Director, Nevil Alfonso.
He, however, stated that rainfall had not been sustainable to cause serious damage to plants.
“The impact will not be very important because it is only a short rain spell.
Is there a sustainable rainfall, there will be more impact,” he added.
Toi has reported on Monday that the short mantra of light rain is experienced in Goa on Sunday because features like troughs that occur.
With this rain, it is possible to increase the incidence of hopper possibilities in mango plants, while tea mosquito bugs are likely to affect cashew plants.
Two commercial plants have faced the flowering season late because it is delayed because the rain is not the season this month.

“At present, there is a contrasting difference between day and night temperatures where suddenly there is hot exposure during the day and cold at night.
Flower cashew and mangoes have undergone extreme exposures that lead to some of them drying.
However, rain which can suddenly delay the fertilization process, “said a farmer from Sattari.
As a result, both fruits will flower but the results can be delayed outside the regular time that can affect production.
