Aurangabad: Minister of Higher Education and Technical Uday Samant said on Friday that they had made “strict” vaccinations at universities, and teachers, professors and non-teaching staff must take both vaccine doses or they may not be given any “benefits”.
He said such decisions were taken when students were asked to get a vaccine too.
When asked whether the salary would also be affected, Samant said that Chancellor’s representative had been asked to receive a call on which benefits to be detained.
VC has been asked to serve notifications and give staff 15 days to respond.
“If they don’t respond, VC will receive a call.
We may have to make that decision too.
Not that I have personal benefits in vaccinated teachers,” he said.
Samant made a statement on Friday during Aurangabad’s visit.
Speaking to the media, he said, “vaccination has been made mandatory for all teachers, professors, principals, or all the benefits will be stopped.” He added that when they “asked all students to be vaccinated and if students questioned the teachers who were not vaccinated, we would not have an answer.” He even warned the teacher’s association that did not want to be vaccinated.
Samant said, “The association of certain teachers quotes that they provide online education, do not want to be vaccinated.
No one will be allowed to do it.
All professors, academic staff, non-teaching staff, principals must take both doses.” 8,000 jobs for stacked For higher education and technical Uday Samant said they would fill 8,000 professor vacancies in seven more months.
“The state has approved the recruitment of professors and principals.
In the first phase, 2,088 posts will be filled.
The old retirement scheme will be implemented for 5,000 professors,” Samant said.
