Ahmedabad: Although repeated reminders to renew their annual fire security certificate, nine city-based hospitals let their permission end.
On Friday, the Fire Department slapped the closing notification at hospitals whose fire safety nocs ended on August 31, and warned strict action management if they did not update their fire permits within a week.

“We have issued reminders to 160 commercial buildings and housing in the city, including several hospitals, which are the compliance certificates of fire safety expiration.
On August 31, this, nine hospitals have failed to update their fire security,” said a firefighting official.
He added that hospitals had been given a week to update their API nocs.
“If they don’t comply with a week, we will seal their nature and cut the drainage and electrical connection.
We will also submit a criminal complaint against this default hospital,” the official said.
The official added that it showed the main neglect of this hospital, as apart from issuing a reminder letter to the properties whose safety was expired, the list of buildings was also installed in the homepage from Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation’s (AMC) official website.
