Coimbatore: All events, including marriage, planned in public spaces must be intimidated to Tahsildar from certain talents a week before the events and permits must be obtained, Sameran Regency collector said.
The entry must ensure that events are carried out with a participation of less than 50 people.
The monitoring team formed by the district administration will examine events and start legal action if the Covid protocol is not followed, the collector said.
The statement arose when the district continued to report more than 200 new Covid-19 cases, with 209 cases and three cases were reported on Sundays.
“With Covid infection increasing in the district, people must utilize relaxation to keep their livelihoods,” said collector, adding that increased cases in neighboring countries could also have an impact on Coimbatore Regency.
The collector said tight action was being taken against Covid protocol violators and total Rs 4.77 lakh were collected as a good amount on Saturdays.
On Sunday, 18 shop owners in Dwan Bahadur Road were fined by Rs 1,000 for not participating in social blasphemy norms in their store by corporate commissioner King Gopal Sunkara during inspection.
