Mumbai: The BMC standing committee on Thursday issued a proposal for an extension of a flyover near Kora Kendra in Borivali, which was previously approved by escalating 300% by the Civic Committee.
Construction costs are expected to shoot from around Rs 150 Crore to more than Rs 650 Crore.
In 2018, the Civic body has proposed a flyover in the Kora Kendra area from Borivali from the Road link to the SV road area measuring around 930 meters with a cost of Rs 150 Crore.
Now, however, BMC has proposed an extension of a blanket further to the Western express highway with 860 meters.
Civil officials say even though it is an extension of the same project, it will be a new work phase that will be carried out in Borivali East.
At present, kite work is in West Borivali.
The contractor hired for the previous project has been offered an extension work too.
