Gurgaon: The local urban department (ULB) of the Government Department Haryana has directed MCG to accommodate all tender processes for bio-remediation repairs and bio-mining waste inheritance at the TPA Bandhwari location with the effect.
The reason stated behind the move is that the Civic body does not take administrative approval before floating this tender.
However, MCG officials claimed that the approval was taken and the process was carried out in accordance with the planned action submitted to NGT.
MCG had last year given the 2 lakh tons of cleaning and processing contracts in bandhwari to private companies.
On a similar line, MCG also recently floated two tenders each Rs 16 Crore to provide a contract to private companies to clean and process the waste disposed of in the landfill location, where ULB has filed an objection.
The tender floated at the risk and cost of the MCG waste concession holder, Ecogreen.MCG also wrote to the ULB Department on January 26 which stated that the Civic body had taken administrative approval to spend RS 256 Crore on the project.
“We have taken administrative approval, and approval of tariffs, and has now sent our comments to the Director of the Urban Local Agency.
The tender floated in accordance with the action plan submitted to NGT,” said Vaishali Sharma, an additional commissioner, MCG.
MCG then said that they had been given a deadline for cleaning waste, failed to be punished by NGT.
.
“We have been given a time limit to clean up 35 lakh tons of inheritance waste from the Landfill Bandhwari website in July this year, failing where severe penalty can be worn by NGT.
We have far from 8 lachh tons and tenders have floated to speed up the work cleaning and processing work Heritage waste, “said Anil Mehta, Consultants and Swachh Bharat Mission, McG.According to the direction sent by the ULB Department to MCG, Ecogreen, on January 13, filed a complaint challenging the decision of the Civic’s body to float fresh tender for waste processing on the TPA site Bandhwari about the risk and cost of ecogreen, which implies that the concession holder must bear this tender costs or the project.
