The money was paid by the transportation department of road safety management funds.
In September, the Safety Fund Management Committee had proposed that the police continue STVS from the academic year 2022-23 because of the non-presence of classes by students in college because of a pandemic.

The police have been asked to ensure strict compliance with the operating procedure for Covid safety standards (SOP) prepared by the State Transport Commissioner for the implementation of STVS.
Recently, several students from various colleges met with senior senior traffic officials and asked them to continue their duties.
“We have stayed away from our assignments for several months.
Lockdown has been revoked and normal vehicle movements.
We are ready to continue our duties by wearing a mask and maintaining social distance.
We lose Rs 100 every day,” A word of student traffic volunteers.
