Noida: Seven more farmers were arrested by police Noida when they tried to reach the Office of the Noida Authority for the third day.
It has taken the total amount of farmers who were arrested in three days to 65.
The police have installed obstacles at the five main intersections of Noida, including sandeep paper mills, sector 8 intersections, Harola, etc., to ensure farmers do not reach the site around the Noida Authority Office.
The farmers accused that they were withdrawn and behaved badly with them trying to protest peacefully.
They marched towards the authority around 12 o’clock at night but was stopped by the police in the barikade stored at the intersection of the sandeep paper factory.
The farmers just sat in the location near the fire station in sector 2 where they started sit-ins and sloganeering.
Satvir Singh, one of the farmers said that they protested peacefully but the police began to force them from places and complained.
“Even females were not spared and they were also arrested and sent to the police line.
At least two women protesters fainted in place,” he said.
Videos of two women’s protesters who accuse bad behavior have become viral.
Farmers accused that their cellphones were taken away and around 100 of them were detained and taken to the police line in Surajpur.
Then, the police arrested seven of them from the place.
The obstacles placed at a different intersection cause traffic misery placed by obstacles at different intersections causing commuter misery in the morning after that some commuters even complained to senior police officers about the same thing.
Some obstacles are temporarily removed from the intersection and are ensured that people come out but some other obstacles remain in their position.
Barriers on the connecting road between UDYOG Marg and Sector 8 and on the road to the Noida Authority Office are still around 3:00 p.m.
Additional DCP (noida) Ranvijay Singh said that if farmers tried to reach off the authority office again, they would take action against them and arrest them again.
“Farmers will not be allowed to take law and order in their hands.
The action will be taken against them.
Most of the barricades opened to make the road for the commuters on Friday afternoon itself but they would remain in place to ensure that if a more political party group Big join the protesters, they can be stopped from reaching offices of the authority, “he said.
