New Delhi: The first phase of the Noida International Airport in the BEPLE will include an investment of RS 8,914 Crore and the initial annual passenger handling capacity will be 12 million, senior civil officials official explanation on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will put the Stone of the International Airport Foundation, which is expected to operate on September 2024.

Civil Aviation Secretary Rajiv Bansal on Wednesday said capital expenditure for the first phase of the project would be Rs 4,588 Crore.
The total cost will be Rs 8,914 Crore, including Rs 4,326 Crore which will be spent by the Uttar Pradesh Government against resettlement and rehabilitation (R & R) and land acquisition.
In the first phase, the airport will have a 12 million passenger handling capacity per year and so all four phases of the project are complete, the total capacity is projected to be 70 million passengers per year.
The total cost of the airport project is estimated at RS 29,560 Crore, Bansal said.
This amount does not include the money to be spent by the Government of Uttar Pradesh towards R & R and acquisition of land.
The airport will be developed by Yamuna International Airport Pvt Ltd (Yall), where Zurich Airport International AG has 100 percent share ownership.
The concession period for the airport is 40 years and nial will have one percent “share gold” in Yiapply and the right to appoint two directors on the Yiapl board.
Nial has been established as a company for Noida International Airport.
The upper government and the new Delhi Okhla Industrial Authority (Noida) will have 37.5 percent of each stake in nial.
The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority and the Authority of the Yamuna Expressway Industry Development (YEIDA) has 12.5 percent of each shares in the company.
Memorandum Understanding (MoU) between concession holders and the Workers Government for reserve services was signed on November 22.
Bansal said the eight new airports came in Uttar Pradesh, including the Jewar and Ayodhya.
Five Aerodroms are expected to be prepared next to Aligarh, Chitrakoot, Azamgarh, Mordabad and Shraverti in 2022.
In 2023, two more expected in Ayodhya and Muirpur, and the Shares will operate in 2024.
At present, there are nine operational airports in the country.
They are in Lucknow, Agra, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Hindon, Kushinagar and Bareilly.
The Jewar airport will be the second international airport to come in Delhi-NCR and will help describe Indira Gandhi International Airport in the national capital.
It is conveniently located and will serve people in cities including Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Agra, Faridabad and neighboring areas, said the Prime Minister’s office in a statement on Tuesday.
The airport will be a northern Indian logistics gateway and because of the scale and capacity, it will be a game modifier for Uttar Pradesh, he added.
According to the statement, for the first time, the airport in India has been conceptualized with an integrated multi-capital cargo hub, focusing on reducing the total cost and time for logistics.
Noida and Delhi will be connected to the airport through the complexity free metro services, as well as nearby main streets and highways such as Yamuna Expressway, Western Peripheral Expressway, Eastern Peripheral Expressway, Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and others will be connected to the airport.
The airport will also be associated with a planned high-speed Delhi-Varanasi craft, allowing people to complete travel between Delhi and the airport in just 21 minutes.
The airport will also accommodate advanced MRO services (maintenance, repair and overhauling) services.
