Noida approaches the target of ‘zero-debit’, maybe get 2 stps again in December

Noida: Noida Authority will be ready with two new waste treatment plants (STP) – in sector 168 and 123 – on December 202 against the previous deadline in 2022.
Toba, this STP will provide around 265 million liters per day (MLD) water Cared for, which will be used for watering parks, green belts, roads and construction sites in more than 100 sectors.
The cost of building both STP is around Rs 259 Crore.
At present, 190 months of water are being treated through four stps in the city.
After two new STPs will be ready, 400 months of water will be treated in Noida, which aims to become the city of ‘zero-debit’.
Initially, the new STP will have the capacity to care for 180 MB of water, which will be upgraded to 265 months later.
“We will complete civil construction work in December because we have accelerated work with almost 100 workers per site after restrictions are appointed.
Only mechanical installation work and equipment that will be left, which we will need a month,” said Firoz Ahmed, Outer Agency Manager Department Handling STP works in authority.
According to Ritu Maheshwari CEO, STPS will benefit the residential area near the site project.
Also, 36 waste pump stations have been set to lift sewerage and bring waste to stps.
“Water after treatment is used for irrigation purposes and horticulture to save the grower level of ground water.
Under Plan Master 2031, the aim is to save more groundwater through this stps,” said an official.
