Lucknow: With the whole India ranks 28, Aaveg Jain 18 years old from Noida appears when the topper at Jee Advanced, the results stated on Friday.
However, he belongs to the Iit-Delhi zone.
A Somerville School student, Noida, Aaveg scored 308 marks from 360.
He said, “I expect a good ranking based on the score but was surprised to see better.” Aaveg will take computer science from IIT-Bombay or IIT-Delhi.
According to Aaveg’s father, Ashu Jain, an engineer who works in a private company, the result is the results of hard work several years.
“He (Aaveg) has sacrificed a lot.
He follows a fixed schedule and spends very little time for the event.
He has been determined to solve IIT,” Ashu said.

Dhirendra Katti confirmed the top five ranks – Yash Virani (Air 37) and Utarsh Singh (Air 84), Malik Hammose Faisal (Air 87), Aishay Jain (Air 104) and Kusagra Gupta (Water Air 109) – from the IIT-Kanpur zone.
However, Yash, Utkarsh and Aishay are included in MP, while the other two come from above.
Lucknow Girl Shreya Tiwari (Air 279) is a topper girl from the Iit-Kanpur zone.
The son of Entrepreneur Mohammad Faisal and Housewife Nazish Affan, Malik Faisal who came from Lucknow, said the books Ncert helped him in preparation.
Malik now wants to join IIT-Delhi to pursue Btech in computer science.
Overall, the results showed that only three students from the lines of the Iit-Kanpur zone were in the top 100.
There are 24 students from this zone which secured the 500 ranks.
