Noida: A total of 78 children who were in the shelter’s house had been reunited with their families in a one-month period by Noida police as part of a special campaign, officials said on Saturday.
Statistics “Muskan Operations” were distributed during the program at the Police Headquarters Noida here, with Commissioner Alok Singh and other senior officers participating in it.
“The one-month campaign begins on June 20 where a total of 78 children are reunited with their families,” said a police spokesman.
“This campaign is driven by an anti-human unit (Ahtu) under the supervision of the additional police commissioner (head office) Pushpanjali Devi and DCP (Safety of Women and Children) Vrinda Shukla,” the official said.
During the trip, police officials involved in the campaign went across the house, gathering information from children and efforts made to track their families, the spokesman said.
Experts engaged to the police also advised children who had lived in shelters since separating from their families, the official said.
Alok Singh’s chairman praised the team for “great achievements” and ensured the department’s commitment to sustainable efforts to bring together more children with their families, according to an official statement.
Commissioner with Cinta Kumar, other senior officers, parents and relatives of 78 children and NGO representatives present in this program, he added.
