NOIDA: A 40-year-old man hanged himself from a fan inside his house in A block of Sector 12 late on Tuesday night.
Arun Chaudhary, who resides in A block of Sector 12 with his own family and his brothers’ families, was upset over the recent job loss.
Arun was previously working as a staffer in the billing accounts and billing section of Kailash hospital, Sector 71.
However, he had lost this job after which he started working at a factory with his uncle.
Arun is survived by his wife and two grown up children.
Sector 24 SHO said that the deceased was upset over job loss and his body was sent for post-mortem.
In another suicide attempt incident, a sanitation worker allegedly tried to hang self with a tree in Sector 128 under the Expressway police station area after he got to know that a new contractor had terminated his services.
Sandeep, a sanitation worker who had been working at a site in Asgarpur area tried to kill himself after he found his name missing from the sanitation staff deployed at the site by the new contractor.
“He was associated with the old contractor who had lost the tender.
The new contractor had removed the name of four sanitation workers from the list including Sandeep,” Expressway SHO Yatindra Yadav said.
Fellow sanitation workers however removed Sandeep from the noose and police took him to the Bhangel CHC where doctors said he did not require any treatment.
“He did not suffer any injuries,” Yadav said.
