Noida fell short of the Vax target; 4L Waiting for 2nd Jab

Noida: At Mega Vaccination Drive in Noida on Monday, 75% of the dosage is a reserve for those aged over 45 years who have not received their first chance.
Meanwhile, more than four recipients who meet the Lakh requirements are waiting to get their second dose.
During the drive, a total of 31,598 people received Jab and GB Nagar reached 63% of the 50,000 shots.
A total of 29,775 people were vaccinated in 137 government centers.
From them, 13,281 the recipient got a second shot.
Health officials said that 300 doses were given to each center.
These include 250 for their first dose in category 45+ and 50 for second doses in all categories.
The move occurred after 56,489 people in the age group 45+ were found not to take a vaccine.
“Some of them were vaccinated for the past 10 days, but around 50,000 people remained vaccinated,” said Dr.
Neeraj Tyagi, district immunization officers.
He added that routine immunization throughout the week will give priority to the second dose recipient in all permanent centers.
A small portion of the dose is stored for the second dose recipient in various centers, but they are not enough because of the number of people who qualify up in the city.
As a result, confusion applies in several centers and many residents must return without getting a shot.
“There was a lot of confusion in the center of the Spectrum Mall.
Some people went to get their second dose, but they were told that the center only gave the first dose.
At the center in sector 76, domestic assistance was returned when the staff asked for a booking online slot,” said JK Khurana, sector 77 residents.
He added that there were more than a Lakh citizen in the 7x sector which needed more centers around it.
In accordance with official estimates, all residents of GB Nagar have received their first dose.
Against the estimated population of 15.89 lakh, a total of 24.21 doses of lakh were given until Monday night.
These include the 16.85 lakh first dose and 7.35 lakh second dose.
