Noida: Authority Noida has chosen two private companies for electronic waste disposal produced in the city.
With the absence of dumpsite designated for e-waste in the city, the authority places the e-waste trash can about two years ago with garbage for separate waste in several public places, mostly around the hub.
However, officials said that there was a lack of response to disposal of e-waste mostly because of the monetary value attached to electronic items in the Memo market.
Therefore, the authority has now released a price list of around 75 items, including drive pens, copper cables, headphones, laptops, keyboards, washing machines, refrigerators and cellphones for individuals and companies to be discarded through two companies – green enabled PVT solutions and solutions RLG India – hired by authority.
E-waste goods are divided into functional and non-functional and the price ranges from Rs 10 to Rs 2,500 A Kg.
“Every individual or company can contact two selected companies for the exile e-wase.
Noida becomes an IT hub, has many companies and individuals who periodically improve IT goods.
Apart from it, electronic goods, including household goods , all can be disposed of now, “said SC Mishra, Deputy General Manager (Department of Public Health), Noida Authority.
“We hired a company about two years who returned to the disposal of waste e in the city and placed the trash can for e-waste in 21 places in the city.
But there was no response because no one was ridicating their electronic waste in it because there were several monetary values for goods -There is on the scrap market.
Therefore, we have now improved a price list for certain items where the two companies will take e-waste, “he said.
