Noida: Noida Authority can now complete an 80 meter stretch left from the 52-71 underpass sector, which has been trapped for several months now.
The Metro train safety commissioner gave advantages to authority on Tuesday to start work around the Metro pillar.
This pillar is around the underpass that is being built.
Officials say the route will be removed from September 1.
However, the authorities have been asked not to use heavy machines or earth drivers around the Metro pillar while completing work on the remaining 80 meters stretch.
In fact, the Commissioner visited the site on July 16 to examine the area and the progress made by authority.
During a visit, he had instructed Noida’s authority to be very careful when doing construction work around the pillar area.
According to authority officials, the pillar area will be accommodated on the median road to be built between two carriageways which will connect the city center with Parthala Chowk.
The median will be 2.5 meters wide and will be built manually by the workers deployed at the location.
From underpass 780 meters, civil work only 80 meters stretch was left assigned.
This project has been running for late more than seven months because the original execution deadline is December 2020.
Because the pandemic and delay in obtaining permission from the Safety Commissioner of the Metro Railway, the work on the project has slowed from March this year.
While the vehicle movement has been permitted for sector 61 and Indirapuram through Marg Wiswakakarma, the city center to the route Parthala Chowk through the Vikas Marg has not been opened.
Also the authority must redesign the intersection by needing in the future.
A large commercial plot that stretches more than 12.3 acre wide land, will come very close to the intersection.
The planned planning and design planned near the intersection has not been carried out and the authority will decide how to regulate the flow of traffic through the intersection.
It is planned that the RS 52 Crore budget, the project costs have been revised to Rs 59 Crore because of the additional work needed on stretching.
