Large Noida: A man allegedly deceived the hospital.
9.9 lakh while trying to reschedule flight tickets, the police were informed on Monday.
Victims, Sushil Kumar Nagar, have booked plane tickets from airlines.
He must postpone plans and hence, look for customer service numbers from airline on Google.
When calling the number, the recipient tells him that the rescheduling fee will be Rs 225.
“There is a change of plan and I have to push my return ticket for two days.
So, I look for customer care numbers and contact them,” said the man in his complaint.
An official senior police information, “to make a payment, the recipient sent a link to Nagar and asked OTP.
Be unconscious, Nagar shares OTP with the defendant.” A total of 12 transactions were carried out where a number of Rs 9.9 lakh were transferred.
“Nagar then got his account blocked and filed a complaint with the police.
The case under the relevant section has been registered and the investigation is underway,” the officer added.
Gautam Budh Nagar police have taken several steps to curb the threat of online fraud.
However, a police officer informed that virtual world crimes continued widely reported.
Ranvijay Singh, Deputy Police Commissioner (Noida) said, “It is very important for people or citizens to understand the potential risks involved in online banking.
