NOIDA: After more than a month, metro service on Aqua Line will resume from Wednesday and officials said trains will be available only on weekdays for now.
Metro will ply between 7 am and 8 pm from Monday to Friday.
“We are resuming the services from June 9 and all Covid protocols would be in place,” said Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) managing director, Ritu Maheshwari.
Services on the corridor were stopped on May 1.
During office hours, metro trains will ply every 15 minutes and for the rest of the day, the interval will be 30 minutes, officials said.
For NMRC, rush hours are 8 am to 11 am and 5 am to 8 pm.
“During the peak hours, trains will not stop at Sector 50, Sector 101, Sector 81, Sector 83, Sector 143, Sector 144, Sector 145, Sector 146, Sector 147 and Sector 148 stations,” an NMRC official said.
“All Covid guidelines would be followed and trains would be sanitised after each trip.
Common points like lift buttons, gates, hand rails of escalators, staircases and scanning machines will be sanitised at regular intervals.
Passenger screening teams would be deployed at each station to see if people are wearing masks properly and for temperature checks.
Social distancing norms would be followed on station premises and inside the trains,” the official added.
Only one gate will be open for passengers at Sector 101, Sector 81, Sector 137, Sector 142, Sector 143, Sector 144, Sector 145, Sector 146, Sector 147 and Sector 148 stations, along with Alpha 1, Delta 1 and GNIDA Office stations.
The NMRC will open two gates at Sector 51, Sector 50, Sector 76 and Sector 83 stations, along with NSEZ, Knowledge Park 2, Pari Chowk and Depot stations.
Parking facility will be available at Sector 51 station.
