Noida: A man has been accused of uploading images and obscene videos from a software engineer on Facebook after he stopped responding to his call, Noida police said on Saturday.
The defendant has been identified as Santosh Singh from Bihar, they said.
The victim’s husband, an architect, handed over complaints to DCP (Women’s Safety) after that the preliminary investigation was conducted.
He told the police that Singh first contacted his wife in March.
ACP-2 (middle noida) Yogendra Singh said according to probe introduction by Cyber cells, Facebook ID, IP address and cellphone number have fake credentials.
The architect told the police that in the first week of April, he had signed Covid because he could not visit the police station but gave all information about the incident to the clerk by telephone.
A few days later, he went to his original place in Gorakhpur.
He then sent sending a complaint to the police commissioner after FIR submitted on June 28 at the Bibrakh police station.
The police said they suspected the “corner of revenge” and the probe turned on.
