Noida: A one year old child and his aunt remained trapped in the elevator for 15 minutes after a power outage at the Hyde Park Society in the Sector 78, where the child allegedly fainted.
Families filed police complaints against the association of apartment owners (AOA) and maintenance staff.
But the move triggered ugly agriculture, with the family accused the President of AOA and plantation managers and six-seven guards of physical violence.
Hemraj Chandel, a private company executive, told Toi He and his brother Jitendra Gehlot lived in the same society in a different tower.
On Wednesday night, the family celebrated Jitendra’s son’s birthday.
“Sisterku Nearu Thakur (42), who returned later with Jitendra Anaya’s daughter to flat on the 21st floor of Tower P, up the elevator on the ground floor but stopped suddenly at the third level,” said Hemraj.
Neetu tries to find help but does not get support from maintenance staff, he added.
“The alarm does not work and there is no power reserve.
No fan or electricity, Anaya falls unconscious.
The security guards rushed to help and try their best to help open the elevator door but could not do it,” said Hemraj.
The elevator starts functioning only after 15 minutes when electricity returns.
After local police were told, call 112 arrived in the community.
The family accused that when Aoa President Ashwani Tripathi knew about police complaints, HE and Estate Manager Suhag reached Neetu’s house around 8pm on Thursday and behaved with his family.
“Later, they call us for discussion but six-seven guards are already present,” Alleged Hemraj.
When Hemraj, Jitendra, his wife Reena and other family members, Bunty, reached the place to talk to Tripathi, he directed the guards to beat them, Hemraj claimed.
“We were attacked with a stick.
The guards also had a stick,” he thought.
On the basis of complaints from the family, a FIR was filed on Friday against Tripathi, Suhag and five-six unknown guards under the IPC section 323, 147, 504 and 109, said Sector 49 Sho Vinod Kumar Singh.
Tripathi claims the family has tried to “create anarchy in the community” in the past.
“We have called maintenance companies and asking them to ensure such events are not repeated,” he said.
