Noida: Three young men who were arrested last week for allegedly raising the slogan ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ in the procession on Thursday was slapped at a cost of severity.
This came on a day that saw more than 500 Bajrang Dal and VHP workers gathered outside the sector 20 the police station demanded that the defendant – Mohammed Zafar, Sameer Ali and Raza Ali – must face accusations under the strict national resilience section and the activity (prevention) who violates the law.
The trio until later booked under the IPC part of 153a (promoting hostility between different groups of religious reasons, races, place of birth, residence, language and prejudice for maintenance of harmony).
Sector 20 Sho Munish Chauhan confirmed that section 124a (incitement) was added to FIR.
Previously, commuters had to bear Brunt during rush hour because protests caused long grumps on the road between the sector 20 of the police station and the intersection of the 16 sector.
