Noida: The city is set to get two more sewerage processing plants at the end of this year.
In the final stage of their construction, officials said, STPS in Sector 123 and 168 will be ready for the latest on November 30.
STP which is being developed in sector 168 will have the capacity to treat 100 million liters per day, the second in sector 123 will process 80 million liters a day.
Noida authorities officials said that 70% of work in both plants had been completed and the remaining work would be more than four and a half months.
While the structure of the plant along with the boundary wall has been completed, the biological contactor is rotating, the batch sequencing reactor and raw waste pump station structure must be established in two locations.
“Plants are being resolved to address the future needs of the city and handle a growing population.
At present, we have adequate infrastructure.
But in the next two years, we will need additional infrastructure to process mud and waste water pumped into waterways and channels Disposal of city dirt, “said RP Singh, Deputy General Manager of Water Work and Sewerage in Noida Authority.
Meanwhile, the movement of motorized vehicles slowed down on Noida-Greater Noida Expressway between 14:30 and 16:30 because of a sporadic shower but heavy on Tuesday.
Although the authority has taken prevention steps to protect low areas of flooding, slow traffic movements and waterlogging reported from several regions.
“I returned to my house from Delhi via the toll road.
I have to fight long traffic congestion near the film film in sector 16a around 4pm,” Prashant Yadav said, a sector 74 resident.
