Noida: Noida Traffic Police on Friday created a green corridor to facilitate the movement of human organs harvested at a distance of about 14 km in 14 minutes for transplant surgery that saves a man’s life, officials said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Ganesh Prasad Saha was warned that the organ had to be transported from Sir Ganga Ram Delhi Hospital to Jaypee Hospital in Noida, officials said.
“However, the challenge is to make harvested organs available at Jaypee Hospital in Sector 128 in the time frame.
It is a race against time,” said an official.
A police spokesman said, “DCP Saha’s traffic has entrusted the Ashutosh traffic inspector with the responsibility of coordinating the movement.
