Noida: Residents of Swarnim Vihar Sector 82 complained without water supply in the area for the past two days.
The high-rise apartment complex consists of more than 120 flat higs and currently has around 350 residents living in the complex.
“There is no water in our society since Tuesday night.
We are somehow managed with whatever stored water we have for the past two days.
But now, the water tank is empty,” said Surendra Kumar Rwa President Swarnim Vihar Hig Flats Sector 82, Noida .
“This is a serious problem because almost 350 residents live in the complex,” Kumar said that added that there was only one supply line for all flat ligs, migs, duplex and higs in the area.
“There is a need for separate water lines for flat higs,” Kumar said.
Vinod Sharma, Junior Engineer responsible for the water supply in the 82 sector told toi that there was a problem with the valve in the water pipe from the main tank in the area.
“This causes a low pressure supply because the damaged valve blocks the supply.
The problem is repaired on Wednesday night and the normal supply will be continued on Thursday,” Sharma said.
However, residents maintain that while supply remains disturbed for almost three days, why they are not told about the problem so they can make adequate arrangements.
“This shows a sluggish official approach,” Kumar said that the water supply was continued by Thursday night, having very low pressure.
