Noida: Women died, friends lost after jumping to Yamuna from Bridge

Noida: A woman died while her friend lost after they jumped to Yamuna from the Kalindi Kunjungi bridge on Saturday afternoon.
Until late at night, the police were still looking for the man, hours after the woman’s body was arrested outside the river.
Initial investigation, police said, suggested that both of them be in a relationship.
While the man has been identified as Mohammad Vakeel, the woman is Saira Banno.
Police said they were residents of Sangam Vihar in New Delhi.
“On Saturday afternoon, both of them arrived at the bridge in Maruti Brezza.
Both parked the car, walked to the edge of the bridge and jumped into the river.
The pedestrian saw them and told the police.
The team rushed to the place and rescue began.
The woman’s body was found, but We are still looking for friends, “said Bharat Kumar Rathi, Police Station Sho of Sector 126.
The woman, said Rathi, was taken to the District Hospital in Noida, where she was declared dead on arrival.
“Even though there was, the man could not be found late at night.
Family members from both have been contacted,” the officer said.
He added that the man was married and had three children.
The man, according to the police, runs a textile business in Delhi and the woman is his employee.
The police said they had talked to their relatives and family members, but no one knew that both of them were in a relationship.
“Initial investigations show that both are in a relationship.
However, it is too early to jump to any conclusion.
We are investigating this problem from all angles,” Rathi said.
The woman’s body has been sent for autopsy, but the report is awaited.
“We will check the details of the second call.
We also have told Delhi’s police about the incident,” Sho said.
