Noida: A roadside restaurant worker was arrested at Noida Greater Uttar Pradesh on Monday for allegedly beating his colleagues with stones after an argument, police said.
The defendant Shankar Yadav and the victim Manoj worked in Dhaba in the Dadri area where an argument broke out between them on June 25, said Deputy additional Noida from Vishal Pandey police.
“Shankar, who had joined Dhaba just two days before the incident, had consumed alcohol and left after the argument.
He returned the same night to Dhaba and beat Manoj with a rock to death,” Pandey said.
The defendant, around 30 years and indigenous residents of Allahabad district at Uttar Pradesh, fled since the incident.
A fired fired in connection with the case at the Dadri police station, he said.
The next legal process is underway, the officer added.
