Navi Mumbai: Residents of Chinchvan Village who live around Karinal Bird Sanctuary accuse that weekend dj fighters and fabrication jobs at the nearest resort have disturbed the birds in Kudus.
They have complained to the range of forest offices.
Forest office Range has issued a notification to one of the resort owners.
Highway authorities have recently installed noise obstacles along the Mumbai-Goa highway.
The holy bird of timesviewkarna, visited by more than 220 bird species every year, is a natural heritage that is priceless.
Hard party music or sharp sound carpentry work at the nearest resort is not liked.
Raucous of Human’s voice, especially after sunset, disturbs winged residents and wild animals.
Forest officials must stop this disorder at once.
Many resorts and hotels were found on both sides of the Mumbai-Goa highway that passed the Core Bird Sanctuary area.
Some visitors appeared in the sanctuary and stayed at the resort and hotel for the weekend and during festive time.
However, loud music played at the resort and fabrication activities at the resort created a disturbance for birds.
The villagers of Chinchvan have accused that high decibel music is being played during a party at the resort and hotel all night.
A group of villagers had submitted a written complaint to the Range Forest Officer of Karnala Bird Sanctuary against one of the resort owners and demanded action.
“Complaints have been received from a group of villagers against one resort owner.
Based on their complaints, the resort owner has served notice.
However, our staff has not found any violations, but this problem needs to be examined.
The problem of noise pollution is handled by the Maharashtra pollution control board, “Narayan Rathod, Range Forest Officer, Karnala Bird Santuary.
“Our staff has not found complaints from Holy Officers or locals.
There is no inspection made about sound pollution at the resort, but the check will be done,” said VV Killad, regional officer-Raigad from the State Anti-Polution Board.
