Nokkukools will be treated as anti-social activities: Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan

Thiruvananthapuram: Chairman of Pinarayi Vijayan’s Minister said there was no union in the state to support ‘Nokkukools’ and it would be treated as an anti-social activity.
The police have been given strict instructions to act hard to such incidents, he said.
All trade unions have supported the removal of Nokkukoololi and if there are people or groups that still claim this they will not have support from any union.
“The government has decided to be strictly deal with this anti-social activity and those who still claim it will face severe acts.
The government has taken tight action in the past and will continue to do so,” Vijayan said.
Meanwhile, the Labor Minister V Sivankutty against party leaders who intimidated employers and also trade unions who still encourage Nokkukoololi.
While commenting on the Secretary of the CPM branch threatened a NRI businessman in Chavara, the Minister of Labor said no one had to intimidate any entrepreneur in the state.
When the state government is committed to ensuring investor’s friendly goals, such actions cannot be entertained, he said.
He also resembles a noccucioli incident in Pothencode in Thiruvananthapuram.
“The government does not approve nokkukuli and no one has to demand money not to do any work.
The government will move legally to those who receive Nokkukooli,” said Sivankutty.
The government is ready to hold discussions with other trade unions to end this practice, he added.
Eight loss of labor cards, eight people involved in the Nokkukooli incident in Pothencode will lose their workforce card.
It has been decided to suspend their cards with direct effects.
The decision has been taken based on a report submitted by the assistant for labor officials about this incident.
