Thiruvananthapuram: The Government Government has asked the state government to nominate less known talents, whose excellence and achievements need to be recognized but missed because they have a low profile, while sending a name for Padma award, the highest civilian award in the country.
“It has been observed in the past that the nominees were received in connection with a large number of people, however, there may be some talented people who are not considered even though there are extraordinary contributions in the field.
Often many such people may be ignored mainly for the reason that they might not seek publicity or attention in the public domain, “a letter from the Joint Secretary (MHA) RK Singh for Secretary of the Head of VP Joy.
The state government has also been asked to form a search committee to identify, consider and resolve nominees from the state for the Padma award that will be announced at the evening of the Republic, next year.
The state has also been told to remember several criteria while choosing nominations.
The letter has directed that the criteria must always be a “plus advantage” and the existence of public service elements in the achievement of people considered to be the desired factor.
The central government has also asked the state to identify talents from women, weaker than society, SCS and STS, etc.
Although the Padma award was not given annually, the government would consider it if the person’s death was considered for the honor recently, said in one year before the Republican Day.
The nomination to be selected and uploaded online until September 15 will only be considered.
Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri are the highest civilian award in the country.

, It’s too late, the state of the state and opposition is very important about the center that picks Padma recipients.
So much so that immediately after the Padma recipient was announced in 2018, the State Assembly has criticized the central government because it ignores the recommendations of the state government while choosing the recipient of Padma.
Minister of Legal Affairs and Parliament A K Balan said in the Assembly that the state had proposed names beyond political considerations, but the central government chose to ignore all names except one.
The Minister also said that the state did not understand the list of which the center chose the recipient.
The opposition also supports the view of the state government and said that the center must be informed about the country’s objections in this matter.
From the list of 42 names proposed by the state that year, the only name chosen was the Metropolitan Bishop of the Church of Marthoma Syria Philipose Mar Chrysostom.
