Noida / Ghaziabad: A total of 73 candidates are in Fray in five Ghaziabad Constituencies who went to the poll in February 10.
The maximum number of 18 nominations has been submitted from the Sahibad and Ghaziabad chair each.
In Muradnagar, 16 candidates were pitted with each other, followed by Loni where 13 candidates were in a fight.
There are eight candidates from the Modinagar assembly chair.
With the nomination process that will expire on Friday, now the nomination supervision will continue until Monday.
The last date for the withdrawal of candidates is January 27.
On Friday, around 31 candidates, including two Congress candidates, filed their nominations in the district.
Nine candidates filed their nominations from the Ghaziabad and Sahibabad assembly seats, followed by six in Muradnagar, four in Loni and three in the Modinagar seat.
While BJP has lowered all five Mola sitting from their respective seats, AAP has reduced candidates from all five seats for the first time in the assembly poll.
The pieces have provided a ticket to old party workers in all five seats.
Among them were two candidates – Sangeeta Tyagi, the wife of a party spokesman who had died Rajiv Tyagi, and Neeraj Kumari, the national coordinator of the party debt department.
All Indian Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, which has announced the contest of 100 seats above polls, has lowered the candidate from the chair of Loni and Sahibabad.
There are 21 independent and nearly 25 candidates from small parties also in polls.
