Normal Normal: Gujarat Vidyapith to provide an online degree too

Ahmedabad: Moving away from the tradition of administration of AGIFACH at the events of the annual event, Gujarat Vidyapith, which was founded by Gandhiji in 1920, has given this year, given the option candidate to take their degree online.
For this, students must create an online application.
Annual meeting will be held on October 18 at the Vidyapith campus, where 505 of 1,565 candidates personally will receive their degree.
The remaining candidates will get their degree online.
“Last year, the annual convocation event could not be held because of the Covid-19 situation,” said Rajendra Khimani, Deputy Chancellor Gujarat Vidyapith.
“This year, we must break away from the old tradition to share certificates personally by remembering the applicable pandemic situation.” Describing the thoughts behind giving certificates to students at direct ceremonies, Khimani said students must take an oath that they will uphold the values ​​devoted to Gandhiji.
“All candidates are asked to sign their certificates after taking an oath.
This year, we have a digital signature provision for students who want to get their degree online,” Khimani said.
Of the 505 candidates who will be awarded their degree on Monday, 80 students will be given their certificates at the main convocessing event.
It will be done before the main guest, Pankaj Chandra, Representative of Chancellor of Ahmedabad University and former Director of Iim-Bangalore.
For the remaining 425 candidates, the University has established eight centers on campus from which students can collect degrees directly.
This arrangement has been done to ensure that social distance and other Covid-19 steps are strictly followed.
Candidates who have successfully submitted their application for online events will be virtually connected.
