Guwahati: North Eastern Tea Association (Neta) celebrates 40 years of noble service to the Assam Tea Industry on October 17 at its Auditabium in Golaghat by calling to make Indian national drink tea.
Agriculture Minister Assam Atul Bora, who was the main guest, asked Lok Sabha MP Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, who was present in his functions, to take problems stating tea as the country’s national drink.
Bora and Tasa together released a noble 40-year logo He highlighted that Covid-19 could not cause chaos among tea garden workers because the health benefits and immunity improve the properties of assam tea, which are mostly consumed by them several times a day.
The association was founded on June 9, 1981 with 11 tea areas and has now developed into a strong force with 163 tea companies in all regions with collective annual production of 102 million kg of tea.
