North Gujarat, a letter of reel from heavy wet spells

Palanpur: Most North Gujarat kept rolling under wet spells that did not sell for the second day in a row, leaving farmers who were very worried.
On Friday, several parts of the region including Patan, Mehsana and Banaskatha received moderate to heavy rainfall.
Palanpur received the highest 91mm rainfall since Thursday night.
In other places Banaskatha, Danta got 72mm, Vadgam 67 mm and Tharad 44 mm with other Talukas also got a moderate bathroom.
In the District of Patan, Sami has been filled in 67mm, Saraswati with 60mm, Radhanpur 40 mm while Patan received 45 mm rainfall.
Mehsana also continued to receive light to a moderate bathroom on Friday.
Meanwhile, large stock of products harvested lying in an open place in several agricultural product marketing committees (APMC) soaked due to rainfall.
Jethabhai Patel, President, Himmatnagar APMC, said, ” The farmers in Sabarkantha and in Aravalli have suffered large losses with peanuts and cotton.
These harvested plants are carried in a tractor for sale and lie in the open after purchase by traders.
“After bad weather conditions, all APMC has decided to suspend the operation until Monday.” Farmers will suffer more damage Pertiosis is likely to continue on Saturday and Sunday.
