Korean drama ‘Squid Game’ has created waves throughout the world since the release of this year.
The hype around the show, however, is a cosmetics of North Koreans.
An American News Media Radio Free Asia (RFA) reported on November 23 that North Korea punished high school students of severe punishment after watching the ‘Squid game’ in secret.
The report stated that some citizens imported shows on USB drives across the border even paid for their lives.
It was reported that seven secondary school students from City Chongjin, North Hamgyong Province, were caught watching the ‘squid game’ by command together 109 of staff inspections.

“The population who imported a USB stick with Korean drama was shot dead and students who bought the USD were sentenced to living in prisons while other students who witnessed with five years of labor reforms,” a source was quoted as saying.
It was revealed that the students were arrested after someone who watched the show with students who bought USB, told other students about the show.
While they passed USB, they were reportedly caught.

This is the first time teenage violations treated with strong punishment after the country strengthens ‘foreign content’ censorship.
The report states that investigations and violators will continue to remember that the limit is closed due to Covid19.
Not only students are punished, but even the principal, youth secretary, and teachers from high school are dismissed from their position.
