Northeast to get upgraded rainfall this weekend: IMD

Guwahati: In the midst of a hot-heat situation and such a drought in many regions, Northeast India was set to witness the upgraded rainfall this weekend, because heavy rains have been estimated by the Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) in all regions on August 7-8.
Forecasts can offer millions of farmers who struggle against difficult conditions in sowing operations.
As per the regional weather forecast IMD on Thursday, the circulation of cyclones that have been present on Bangladesh for the last few days is expected to move west.
After shifting, the humid southwest of the Bay from Bengal Bay will begin to flow into northeast India, strengthening rainfall activities above the region from Friday night until the beginning of next week.
Therefore, the IMD has estimated that the rainfall is quite broad and widespread in the northeastern state until August 9 with enhanced rainfall activities from August 10.
The center of MET Regional IMD based in Guwahati added that people like Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Nagaland, Manipur Mizoram and Tripura will begin to experience a moderate shower and storm from Thursday itself.
Given this prediction, IMD has issued a yellow watch above Assam, Meghalaya, and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura (n.m.m.t) for Thursday and Friday; over Assam and Meghalaya on Saturday; and over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya on Sunday and Monday.
Advisor urged residents to ‘realize’ local weather situation.
Meanwhile, Guwahati and other parts of Assam continue to watch the heat because mercury passes a sign of 37 degrees in the country.
Guwahati on Thursday records 37 degrees Celsius as a maximum temperature, four degrees above normal.
