THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Due responsibility for its Congress-led UDF’s drubbing at the Kerala Assembly elections, Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Mullappally Ramachandran said on Saturday that he wasn’t interested in staying in this article.
Speaking to colleagues, Ramachandran said following the UDF defeat at the polls, he’s given a comprehensive report on Sonia Gandhi narrating all things linked to the elections.
“That report, I’ve advised the Congress president I am interested in continuing from the article of KPCC president,” he explained.
Ramachandran said he’d continue at the article until an alternate arrangement is made.
Asked about his lack at the very first UDF meeting held following the meeting elections on Friday, the senior Congress leader said attending the interview as KPCC leader wasn’t morally right since he’s asked Sonia Gandhi to take his resignation from this article.
Ramachandran stated since the PCC leader he had received complete cooperation from Sonia Gandhi and celebration chief Rahul Gandhi.
“However, I’m saddened by the defeat of this celebration.
So I’m taking the responsibility to your own party’s defeat,” he explained, adding he does not have any intention to place the blame on anybody else.
