Ahmedabad: The Gujarat High Court on Wednesday expressed displeasure because he accused accusing prison in the case of a five-year fake currency as the National Investigation Agency (Nia) demanded the problem with slow.
The court heard the guarantee appeal submitted by one Shailesh Barvadiya.
In this case, Nia tried to examine more than 40 witnesses, who would extend the trial.
The High Court has asked for the main justice to recommend it to the center that the number of Nia courts is specifically enhanced to accelerate the trial.
But the request was not accepted by CJ which said that there were only 12 cases delayed before two special courts.
Nia was filed on Wednesday that the Principal Judge session had transferred six cases to other Nia courts.
It was also submitted that the main defendant, given the default guarantee, postponed the trial by submitting a reckless application.
But the judges were not impressed and commented that the Nia Court had moved very slowly with the trial.
“Take it from us, the trial will not be finished in the next five years,” said the court.
Judges are very important about the pace of the trial and adding that one witness was examined in 15 days and there were more than 40 witnesses that still had to be examined.
The court asked, “Is that a defendant’s mistake? Why should he be in prison? Does prejudice will cause prosecution if he is released by guarantee?” The judges also said that accused being accused of being in a long time.
The court has asked Nia to get instructions about the quick trial process on December 22.
The High Court also said, “Nia courts do not overcome the pressure.
It’s a pity.”
