Not help for Kin from 14 covid martyrs from pvt k’taka hompon

Bengaluru: The state government has rejected the application for compensation from the grieving family from 14 doctors who surrendered to Covid-19, claiming Pradhan Mantri Garebeb Kalyan Yojna only for doctors involved in treating patients Covid-19 in a government hospital.
14 Doctors involved in treating infected patients in private hospitals and this scheme offered RS 50 lakh compensation.
The Association of Private Hospital and Indian Medical Association has condemned the move, said the government discriminated against the Covid-19 martyrred of the government and private sectors.
The state government says it processes a total of 45 applications, which will be forwarded to the center, but draw 14 of them – all of the doctors who work in the private sector – with the reason they do not meet the requirements.
While answering questions in the state legislature, Minister of Health K Sudhakar said the state had received a total of 45 applications from April 1, 2020, and compensation was disbursed to the family of 21 doctors who died.
Eight applications are still delayed and 16 drawn.
The last 16 includes the application of families of two doctors who work in the Department of Health and Family Welfare.
While one of Chikkaballapur was said to suffer from heart problems, another doctor from Hassan died of brain hemorrhage, said Sudhakar.
“Both doctors die while doing Covid’s task.
It is unfortunate that the country attracts their application,” said the Ministry of Health officials.
“The stress doctor has gone through while working in Covid Wards and patient screening in the OPDS of the Government Hospital has been ignored.” Dr.
HM Prasnana, President, Private Hospital and Nurse House Association, said the government brings together its responsibilities.
“This is a gross injustice on the medical brotherhood, and we will protest.
In fact, the government should pursue these cases even harder,” said Dr.
Prasanna.
Dr.
Madhusudhan Kariganoor, a former president, Chapter Ima-Karnataka, regretted the step.
He revealed that the government, at the beginning of 2020, had instructed private doctors to continue to open the clinic.
“Through Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, the government held a virtual meeting with members of IMA to spread awareness among doctors to make the clinic open at the beginning of the pandemic in April 2020.
They promised to take care of insurance,” Dr.
Kariganoor’s expression.
“The doctors are infected while caring for patients in OPSD in their clinics and nursing homes.
To now distinguish based on their services in government and silly personal facilities.” However, a senior health official said the country only followed the central guidelines.
Minister of Health Sudhakar is not available for comments.
‘However, injustice for my father, family of 16 martyrs, still in the dark.
Dr Shivananda’s wife R Bellde, 67, a general practitioner who runs a nursing home in Kalaburagi District and died on July 25, 2020, has submitted an application but the family said they were not aware of the status and was waiting.
Dr.
Abhinand Begde, Dr Shivananda’s son, said the medical health official had held a meeting with his father to filter patients with influenza such as illness (ILI) and severe acute respiratory infections at his clinic.
He said the family had to run from the pillar to post between Kalaburagi and Bengaluru even submit the application.
“The government has made it mandatory for hospitals to function and supervise patients and Ili.
He was infected when filtering these patients.
The government is now shamelessly to say the family of doctors who work in private nursing homes will not be compensated,” said Dr.
Abhinand .
