Ahmedabad: Three days after successively on rural fluid reportedly flowing out of the beats of 40 houses in the Sarkhej area, police officers on Monday said that the forensic report showed that water sewers had been mixed with tap water.
“After the report appeared that the tap water was contaminated with state liquor, we started an investigation and sent water samples for forensic examination.
The report did not mention the trail of liquor but found the level of dangerous faecal material and e coli in the water,” said an officer Senior police.
Officers said they did not register any complaints because of this problem now with Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation.
About why a complaint is not nested because of negligence that causes losses to human life, he said, “The error was unintentionally as a civilian personnel to improve the gutter where sewers entered the water pipe.” On Thursday, occupants of around 40 houses in Sarkhej, in the South West Zone Municipal, complained that for the past month, their tap water kissed the state liquor.
As proof, one of the residents collects can be full of cloudy water from the city’s city supply and handed it to the visiting water supply official.
Locals alleged that some residences nearby are known to the state liquor and empty their waste into a water channel that will pollute their water supply.
After this, the Sarkhej police took action, took water samples but did not find liquor in it.
