Bathinda: A number of villages have placed banners at the entrance of those who announced the prohibition on the entry of political leaders, but two hamlets like that in the Buddhada block from Mansa Regency had stepped further.
Gram Panchayats of Hero Khurd Village and Kulrian Village have passed the resolution not to allow the entry of any politicians in the villages or even relate to one.
In Hero Khurd, Panchayat has passed the resolution in writing, while Panchayat in Kulrian has passed the resolution orally.
In its resolution, the hero of Khurd Panchayat has warned residents with social boycott and fine RS 5,000 if they campaigned for a political leader or call it for election purposes.
In other resolutions, Panchayat has asked residents to comply with a list of assignments assigning to attend agricultural protests at the Delhi border.
If someone breaks it for no reason, they also have to pay a fine.
A meeting of local residents was called in Kulrian, where Punjab Kisan Union Block Secretary General Babbu Singh was looking for their opinions about lowering the entry of politicians in villages and residents gave their approval in voice.
They even asked unity to put banners announcing this at all village entry points.
