Gurgaon: Gurgaon City corporation (MCG) on Thursday sealed three properties for the delay in payment of extraordinary property taxes of RS 28 Lakh.
While one property owner has been waiting for RS 12 lakh contributions, two other defugter must deposit RS 8 Lakh each.
“We have sealed three commercial buildings for non-payment of their property tax contributions.
One of the buildings is located in Shanti Nagar while the other two are in the basi area.
The tax department has started the drive to seal the properties of the property tax defaulter,” said Vijay Kapoor, “said Vijay Kapoor, Zonal tax officers.
Meanwhile, the Government Haryana has also announced a 25% exception to property tax for the Fiscal Year 2021-22 if paid on September 30.
In addition, an additional 10% of Rebates will also be given for this year until September 30.
The Civic’s body estimates that RS 1,103 crore income from property taxes is only in the fiscal year 2020-21, only RS 250 Crore income can be produced.
