Not vaccinated to pay Rs 500 well in Aurangabad

Aurangabad: Citizens who have not taken their first dose of the Covid vaccine or who missed the date for the second dose must pay a fine of RS 500 from December 16.
Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) on Monday made this official securities announcement and said that those who did not pay would face legal action.
However, legal experts have questioned the basis for the act of being proposed by highlighting that Covid vaccination is voluntary.
“Nagarik Partner Pathak – Special Civil Team that has been formed in Aurangabad – will be involved in crackdown on defense.
Half of the money restored will go to the city police and the rest to the local civil body,” said AMC Astik Administrator Kumar Pandey.
The citizenship administration has warned that those who do not pay a fine will face actions under the 188 IPC section (disobedience to order correctly announced by public servants) together with the provisions of the Epidemic Law, 1897 and Civic Law, 2005 “Chairman Competent authorities (to make policy decisions related to vaccination) in accordance with the Epidemic Law, 1897 and disaster management laws, 2005.

“Cent percent vaccination is very important in the Aurangabad district when the Omicron Covid-19 strain has reached Maharashtra.
Amid concerns over the nature of new strains that are very transmitting, vaccination can offer protection to a certain extent,” said Collector of the Aurangabad district of Sunil Chavan.
